Twenty and Creek

Twenty and Creek is located in the heart of Sandy, Utah which is a short drive from Salt Lake City, and just 20 minutes from Salt Lake International Airport. The team at Twenty and Creek is welcoming, and such a great help when it comes to showing you what's possible for your wedding day. Megan Bonham, the owner and creator of Twenty and Creek worked in the wedding industry and also has experience in the real estate renovation business, so combining those two passions to create a wedding venue seemed like a no-brainer.

When designing their venue, Megan and her team were on top of every detail. They wanted something timeless that would outlast generations. On top of that, they wanted the venue to be a place that not just couples love, but vendors loved working at too. Because of that, they created a host of unique features. One of those is the vendor room, with a full kitchen, lounge, and storage area. Another is the large bridal and groom suites. It's popular to find large bridal suites at venues, but not equally as large, well designed groom’s rooms. The team thought, what if you have two brides or two grooms? One of their goals was to allow both spaces to be big enough to accommodate all couples, all types of love, and all types of wedding parties. Lastly, is their gorgeous Ceremony and Grand Hall. The designs of those spaces are intricate and the perfect backdrop for any event. Find out more about the European meets traditional style of Twenty and Creek below!

A Look Inside the Venue

After pulling into a parking space at Twenty and Creek, you'll immediately notice the elegant design, front European style garden, and copper trim accents. As you step inside, the two spaces that will immediately catch your attention are the Ceremony Hall and Grand Hall. These two rooms are filled with windows that bring in plenty of natural light that feels welcoming and fresh.

The Ceremony Hall is a lot of couples' first choice when it comes to the area to hold their wedding ceremony. It's an open, bright space that can be transformed into whatever your vision as a couple is. Couples' can have minimal design and décor, or completely transform the space.

The Grand Hall is the perfect space for dancing, a floating reception, or for luncheons and dinners. The space is very open, filled with windows, beautifully ornate chandeliers, and even a working fireplace!

Bridal and Groom Suites

At most wedding venues you visit, the bridal suite is the space of the two getting ready areas that receives the most attention. At Twenty and Creek, they instead shifted their focus to creating an awesome bridal suite, and groom suite. Both rooms are large, open, and filled with many details. Something that was important to Megan and the design team was to create a space that welcomed all kinds of couples, and these two rooms certainly accomplished that.

The groom's suite is furnished with leather couches, a bathroom with a walk-in shower, and a large locker styled walk-in closet. As photographers, one of the biggest pain points we come across is where to put all of the groom and groomsmen’s clothes, bags, etc. when taking photos. At Twenty and Creek there is a locker space for all of the guys so that everything can be neatly stored. They even have a retro video game console and TV to make getting ready time a blast!

The bridal suite is bright, beautiful, and spacious! There's a full size mirror, chandelier, wall to wall vanity, and bathroom. It's a space that would be amazing to use to get ready alongside your best friends and family!

Outdoor Pavilion and Ceremony Site

Connected to the Grand Hall is the outdoor pavilion with doors that can be left open throughout the wedding day to create an indoor/outdoor wedding. To add to the European influence, the outdoor pavilion and ceremony site is filled with trees flown in directly from Hyde Park. These are trees that can't be sourced locally in Utah, so bringing them in was the next best option! Also, outside around the pavilion you'll see a small stream and waterfall that help to drown out any outside noise to make it an oasis from the suburbs.

In this space, couples have the freedom to transform it into exactly what they want. The team at Twenty and Creek has seen couples hold outdoor dance parties, cocktail hour, set up a smores bar, and yard games. Couples can also opt for an outdoor ceremony, and hold it almost anywhere they'd like. One final detail outside is that the ground has radiative heating to help melt snow in the winter! How cool is that?!
