River Bottoms Ranch is located in Midway, Utah, which is just a short drive from the entertainment of Park City and only about 40 minutes from the Salt Lake City International Airport. The team at River Bottoms Ranch has won the award for Best of State Wedding Venue in Utah for the past two years in a row, and after you meet them, you will understand why. LeAnne, who we cannot rave about enough, will be your first point of contact and she'll be by your side as you plan your dream wedding at River Bottoms Ranch. The service from start to finish, the care and personal touch, the views, and the family atmosphere make it such an incredible space.
The owners of River Bottoms Ranch, Jared and Janica Horner, have a deeply rooted spirit and heritage in the community and property where the majestic Ranch resides. The property has been a family jewel in the Horner family for generations as a place of peace, work, family and recreation. When Jared and Janica purchased the property 20 years ago from Jared's great-grandfather they also wanted to build upon these traditions in a way that they could share it with others. The dream of the "Family Gathering Place" began with years of meticulous planning and designing eventually resulting in the beautiful RBR Ranch that stands today. The amenities of the gorgeous barn, breathtaking views of the mountains, glow of the golden hayfields and the sound of the Provo River continue to set the unforgettable backdrop for many of lives most precious moments. A Look Inside the Barn
When you arrive at River Bottoms Ranch, the first thing you will notice is the modern farmhouse style barn and the land surrounding it. To understand just how fantastic the barn really is, you should know some of what went into its design. The entire building was very well thought out. Before the plans were drawn up, Janica and Jared reached out to some of the wedding industry's best vendors to get their opinions about the best ways things should be designed. On top of that, the owners also did light studies on the building to determine how the light would come in based on where they placed the windows. Everything was well thought out and as photographers we were blown away by their intentionality and care in so many aspects.
Bridal and Groom Suites
Oftentimes the groom's space is something that is put aside or not really paid attention to when designing wedding venues. That is not the case here at RBR! The groom's room is filled with windows for natural light, a bar space and TV for the guys to hang out and watch the game before the event begins. One of the most ingenious parts of the groom's room is that later in the day it transforms into a bar, dessert, or water station.
The Bridal Suite is one not to be overlooked as well and really deserves its own paragraph! The views of the Wasatch Mountains, and modern farmhouse decor make it elegant and also so cozy. The full bathroom with shower and tub just add a little something extra and so does the large vanity space that is available for your bridesmaids to use to get ready.
Outdoor Pavilion and Ceremony Site
The outdoor ceremony site is in a word, breathtaking. It is gorgeous in any season meaning that summer and fall weddings look just as pretty as weddings in the winter snow. The ceremony site even faces south to ensure shadows fall in the best places! While facing south, the backdrop provides views of the pond, fields, and Mount Timpanogos in the distance. It's no wonder that couples come from all over the country to say their vows at River Bottoms Ranch! In case of bad weather, RBR also has plans for a backup ceremony location inside of the barn or under the pavilion, which are also beautiful locations.
The outdoor pavilion is a brand new addition to the property. It is a wonderful place to provide extra space for guests to spread out throughout the day and to provide shade.
View of the Grounds
The land surrounding River Bottoms Ranch is one of the standout parts of the property and makes for incredible wedding day portraits that you will be so proud to display in your home. The Provo River runs through their property and connects with a pond (that is a part of your ceremony backdrop!) that is stocked with fresh fish. Do you see yourself spending time in a canoe, or fishing on your wedding day? This is the place to do just that! The views of Mount Timpanogos are just an extra perk!
How to Make Your Day Unique!
Have you or your fiance ever dreamed about fishing the morning before your wedding day? The pond at River Bottoms Ranch allows you that opportunity. Fishing on the pond, is "catch & release," so you can only use artificial lures and only barbless hooks are allowed. To make it a full experience RBR also has connections to some incredible outdoor outfitters that could be brought onsite to assist and make fishing a fun event for all.
In addition to fishing on the pond, you are welcome to bring your own canoe(s) for incredible photos on the water, and to add to the experience.
