This Friday Fun post is all about what we have been up to the past few weeks! Since it was Jessie’s birthday two weeks ago, we’re going to talk all about what we ended up doing. After having Liam, our birthdays have become a little bit different. Instead of doing something that only makes us happy, we want to go do something fun for all of us. Everyone loves dinosaurs, and Liam is one of the biggest dinosaur fans we know! We knew we needed to get out and take him to Dinosaur Park, and it was the perfect weather to do it!
Anyone who’s lucky enough to have grandparents alive at the same time they are knows how big of an impact they make on their life. Jessie’s grandparents are no different. In fact, they exceed the typical grandparent standards! Jessie’s grandma and grandpa are known to her family adoringly as Grandma and Poppy. We were so excited when they agreed to do a grandparents photoshoot with us!
Out of the two of us, Dallin is definitely the funniest even though he’d probably say it was Jessie. We are a husband and wife photography team full of quirks and we aren’t afraid to share most of them! Today for our Fun Friday post we thought we’d have a good laugh at ourselves and share some funny facts about us.
Last month we spent a Saturday together on our local Air Force base watching the Warriors over the Wasatch Air Show. Pilots both local and from around the country, as well as the Air Force Thunderbirds came to perform stunts and show off their planes. This was our first experience going to an airshow and we had a total blast.
We’ve been so busy this summer that we haven’t had a chance yet to share our family pictures from our first real family photo session since having Liam. Brooke Major has been helping us out at a lot of weddings this past year, and we were so excited when she said that she would be able to come down from Logan to help us take our family pictures! It can be so hard when you are a photographer to find the right person to take your family pictures, but we are so glad we hired Brooke!
Seven years…seven years! Flipping the pages on our calendar month to month suddenly started to become surreal. Yes, we still have a paper calendar! Culturally, the seven year anniversary is commonly referred to as the “seven-year-itch” meaning that happiness in a marriage usually starts to decline after being married for seven years. Maybe that’s because of complacency, boredom, who knows? Dallin and I have had our ups and downs, our highs and lows, but we’ve made it through them stronger than ever before. Throughout these seven years I’ve come to realize that every marriage needs something specific, it needs to have “balance”.
Our favorite ice cream is The Tonight Dough from Ben and Jerry’s. There’s one problem with it though, it’s like a billion calories. If you ever try to sit down with a pint of it and try to eat only one serving, it’s pretty much impossible. This led us to Halo Top Ice Cream. We picked some up at our nearest Target and both of us each ranked them ourselves to see if we had similar opinions. Here’s what we came up with!
How did we become Utah wedding photographers? It all started with one simple email. Jessie sat at her computer, multi-tasking as best she could and working to finish up a paper for her college history class and finalizing details for our wedding. She logged into her email account. There was a new email waiting…
We were raised right When you ask a sports fan when they became a fan of their team, the typical answer is when they were really young, maybe around 3 or 4 years old. Neither of us is any different from your typical fan! Dallin loved the Utah Jazz since he was a little kid. […]
