“Good things come to those that wait”. Even when this phrase may be true, it doesn’t make things any easier when you are the one waiting. For Stephanie and Wichar, they have been playing the waiting game for far too long. They have been waiting for a visa to come for Wichar so that he could come from the Dominican Republic, which has taken a lot longer than imagined. Originally, these two were planning on being married back in October, but because of delays in getting Wichar’s visa, they are now getting married at the beginning of 2020. If good things are in store for those that wait, these two must have a lot of good fortune in their future together. During their winter Mueller Park and downtown engagement session, it was plain to see how happy these two are to finally be able to spend each day together!
Stephanie and Wichar met each other on Facebook. One day Stephanie saw that she had mutual friends with Wichar from her mission in the Dominican Republic and that he was a suggested friend. She took a chance to request to be friends with him, and he accepted! From there, they developed a friendship, and as they say, the rest is history.
Throughout this session, one thing we noticed is how accomplished these two are at facing adversity. Although the temperatures in the Dominican Republic vs Mueller Park or Salt Lake City are vastly different at the end of December, Wichar still had a grin from ear to ear between shivers. This was matched so well by Stephanie’s million-dollar smile. Wichar is still learning English, so much that was said to or spoken from him was in Spanish. Even with the language barrier we could tell how much these two are excited to share their lives together.
Stephanie and Wichar, we are so excited for you two!! We know that your love will only grow as time goes by and you spend each day together. We hope you enjoy your photos from your winter Mueller Park and Downtown engagement session!
