Our headlamps broke through the darkness, reflecting small white ridges on the ground. It was so quiet, that you could quite literally hear a pin drop as we made our way across the moonlike landscape. The sun had just gone down, and most the other visitors had left, leaving us with Julia and Davis, and the beautiful Milky Way overhead. If it wasn’t for the view of the rest stop in the distance, you could tell any of us that we were in space on some desolate planet, and we would have believed you. The scene could not have been any more perfect for a Bonneville Salt Flats Milky Way anniversary session. We were able to get some unique and… should we say… “Out of this World” portraits.
Julia and Davis have been friends of ours for a long time. Jessie was actually roommates with Julia almost 10 years ago, so it was a perfect time to go on a long drive to the Salt Flats and catch up with each other. We have been DYING to do a shoot with the Milky Way in it, so this was a perfect opportunity to do so.
Julia and Davis have been married for 6 years now and have a couple of adorable kids. They met when they were both EFY counselors which is a religious youth summer camp. With their contagious energy, we’re sure that this session would be one to remember. Julia graduated from culinary arts school, and she and Davis have just recently opened their own cooking class business called Spoon and Spatula. It has been fun to have Julia successfully teach Dallin how to make pies that Jessie will actually eat (Jessie REALLY does not like pies).
Julia and Davis, thanks for hanging out with us! It was so fun to do your Bonneville Salt Flats Milky Way anniversary session. We love you both and your adventurous spirits!
