Ogden Temple and Sweet Magnolia Wedding

Have you ever been to a dance party before? You know, a REAL dance party?! Since photographing the weddings we have the past few years, we think we can say we have! One that has always stuck in our memory as a legit dance party was the reception of Madeline and Kevin from last year. We have never seen anyone so passionate about dancing than their families… and they are GOOD! So, when Madeline’s cousin, Shelby and her fiance Quinten booked us for their wedding, we knew that we were going to be in for another treat of dance party madness! Unsurprisingly, Shelby and Quinten told us that the pictures they were MOST excited about were going to be from dancing at their reception. Let’s just say that this Ogden Temple and Sweet Magnolia wedding had the kind of dance party that John Travolta would try to take part in on a “Saturday Night“, but we don’t think even he could keep up!

The other thing that rivaled the dance moves on Shelby and Quinten’s wedding day was their smiles. Quinten has a gift of saying things to Shelby that always brings out the best laughs. Even though both of them are actors, we could definitely see the genuine happiness they both had. Those laughs are going to  continue to strengthen their marriage for years and decades to come.

Family was also very important to Shelby and Quinten during their wedding day. During photos, Shelby wanted to make sure that her cousins and aunts who have lived next door to her for years were included in the smaller family groups, because they were more like siblings than cousins to her. 

To top the night off, they had a lightsaber exit! (Okay… really they were huge glow sticks… but they look enough like lightsabers that it counts!) They ended the night with an epic lightsaber fight! We have always said that a dream exit for us to shoot would be a lightsaber sendoff, and this was one to be remembered!

Shelby and Quinten, we are so happy for you both! Even though we’ve only known you both for a short time, we know that you will always keep each other laughing. Thank you for letting us be apart of your Ogden Temple and Sweet Magnolia wedding! We are so thankful to count you both as friends!
