Emily & Todd
It’s easy to be concerned with yourself on your wedding day. You’ve been planning for countless hours, and it’s one of the biggest days of your life. In fact, some people may tell you that it is YOUR day, so whatever you say, goes! Although we agree that this day will be special, and that you need to plan it well to run smoothly, we also believe that it’s important to recognize your roots. Part of your roots are your friends and family who made you the person you are today, and who have had a part in making your marriage possible. Throughout Todd and Emily’s summer Bountiful temple wedding, it was evident that they were going to make sure that they honored their family.
Emily included her grandma by borrowing the veil that both her grandmother and so many family members each wore on their wedding day. Her earrings were also borrowed from her grandmother. Todd’s grandmother also brought portraits of Todd’s uncle and grandfather. Instead of a huge reception with hundreds of guests, Todd and Emily opted for a dinner after their wedding with only their closest family and friends. This being the happiest, and possibly one of the most important days of their lives, Emily and Todd made sure that they celebrated with those that meant the most to them.
Don’t get us wrong, Todd and Emily still made sure that they had something for them during their day. They included a squirt gun fight during their exit! With super soakers blazing, Todd made sure that he could protect his wife in her wedding dress, and took the exit first to distract the fire power away from her and get her safely into their well decorated getaway car. It was a unique exit that we will never forget!
Todd and Emily, we wish you the best! Thank you so much for giving us the chance to serve you! Thank you so much for the awesome socks too (you know we’re definitely wearing them as we write this post!) You are both so kind and we know you will have a happy and successful marriage.
