We loved shooting with this fun family. They all were such troopers during this session, even though it was so cold and they needed to wrap up in blankets in between shots. In fact, it had just snowed two days before the shoot, which we thought was going to be a bad thing. However, it made the pictures even more majestic with the snow-capped mountains in the backdrop of some of the pictures. We were so glad that we were able to do this shoot before the snow and cold really settled it!
“Be prepared”. Some look at this phrase as nothing more than a motto, others a lifestyle. As Dallin handed some handwarmers to the kids like candy at Halloween, there was a little irony that he was the one that was prepared with the handwarmers. The mother of these kids, Dallin’s sister-in-law Seantae, has always been prepared for everything. The phrase bringing “everything but the kitchen sink” may apply to Seantae when going on vacation. We as her in-laws may tease or make fun of her for it, but we can also tell you how happy we are when we need something, and Seantae is prepared. We hope that Seantae was proud when we were prepared for these cold fall family pictures in the mountains of Snowbasin!
Whether it has been being prepared on trips, willing to listen, or just having satellite TV for important sports games, Seantae and Trevor have always been there for both of us. Back in 2010, the Jazz were playing the Lakers in the playoffs. We were at Utah State, and had just started dating. We decided to watch the game at the student center, but were quickly kicked out by the janitors since the game was so late. Knowing us, you know how important our Jazz games are! Thankfully, Trevor and Seantae were happy to have us in their home to watch the game.
A few days later, Seantae let us come by and watch another Jazz game even though Trevor wasn’t around. She made us some awesome ravioli dinner. After apologizing that she didn’t have food that was better since Trevor is the cook in their family, she made the most pivotal comment to Jessie in our relationship. She told her that all of the Jackson boys, which included Dallin, know how to cook. This is the moment when Jessie knew that she had found her husband. 😊

Thank you Trevor and Seantae for letting us take your fall family pictures in the mountains, and thank you for everything you do for our family! It was so fun to hang out with you guys and laugh with you. We are grateful that you are part of our family, and we hope that you love your pictures!
