60 plus hours of prep work on a cake, two grand center pieces framed by gold, white and navy accents, two handcrafted rings, handfuls of the best sparkers in the state, one stunning navy suit, one white dress, a gorgeous bride, an aristocratic groom, and one modern and elegant venue. Behind each of these items are some of the best wedding vendors Utah has to offer at this Talia Event Center wedding.
Behind each of these items are some of the best wedding vendors Utah has to offer at this Talia Event Center wedding, not just because of the skill they have for their craft, but because they are some of the most kind and caring people we know.
Talia Event Center is a new venue in Clearfield, Utah that has been remodeled from an old golf themed bar that went out of business. It has been renovated to have a classic, clean atmosphere with a modern European feel. With a vintage bar, staircase, stained glass windows, and pergolas, this building blossomed into a new venue that everyone is excited about. The bride and groom who modeled for this shoot have been married for 5 years, and this felt so much like a vowel renewal that the bride’s mother wanted to come and watch a portion of the shoot!
The cake made from Marcia at Sweet Cravings was the Sistine Chapel of cakes, seriously. The small, intricate details on every turn were magnificent! There were fairies, flowers, butterflies, and even a handmade bird in its perch all made out of fondant. It made us feel a little guilty cutting it… until we tasted the Snickers cake! Because the cake was so huge, Marcia had to be creative and use a wall clock as a cake stand in order to save money.
The shades used for this Talia Event Center wedding were gold and navy because these colors fit with the classic, elegant look we were going for. We used gold flatware, geometric table décor, gold candlesticks, and handmade wooden signs from The Shabby Chic Sisters to fit this theme. The invitations with the wax seal and gold calligraphy from Rose Blossom Prints, as well as the dress from Boda Bridal and suit from Jacob Vince Custom and even the hair and make-up done by Hailey Gomez had similar classic but modern looks.
The muted colors on the roses and flowers made by Jennifer Hansen of Botanical Eden stood tall elegantly framing the table setting. Those same colors and shades were used in the bouquet and boutonniere that she designed for the shoot. Jenn’s choices in flowers were absolutely perfect and fit perfectly with the wedding dress and navy suit.
Sparklers from Utah Sparklers were also used to show other kinds of photos that can be taken with sparklers during a wedding. So often, sparklers are only used for an exit, and then the couple leaves on their honeymoon. We wanted to showcase other creative shots with the bride and groom, as well as long exposure shots that are not always taken at weddings, but give it an almost Cinderella meets fairy godmother feeling.
Lastly, Staghead Designs hand crafts all of their rings. They re-purpose everything from whiskey barrels, and surfboards, to antlers for their rings, and love to try out new ideas. These rings were made out of black zirconium for the men’s band, and a Morganite oval diamond with rose gold was used for the women’s ring. The ring designs speak for themselves in the pictures, they are gorgeous!
Thank you to all the amazing vendors who collaborated with us on this Talia Event Center wedding inspiration shoot! All of the details, and we LOVE the details, came together perfectly!
