Kate & Max
Kate’s mom placed a strand of pearls around her neck officially starting a new family tradition, and kicking off the beginning of Kate and Max’s Walker Farms black and white wedding day. Pearls could be found throughout the details, on Kate’s veil, Max’s cufflinks and tie-clip, and even on bracelets for Kate’s sisters.
Throughout history, the rarity and reverence of pearls have been captured in stories. One famous legend describes the Hindu god Krishna discovering pearls as he pulls the first one from the sea to give to his daughter Pandaïa on her wedding day. So, pearls and weddings have been associated for thousands of years, and they became the perfect detail to connect with the intricate details throughout Walker Farms.
Walker Farms is one of the most beautiful venues in all of Northern Utah. The detail that went into its creation is discussed here in our Wedding Venue Guide. When it was built, nothing was held back and thought went into every piece of the design. For example, the chandeliers were brought over from France, and the floorboards were repurposed from the bed of trucks. Every corner of the venue holds a story, and Kate and Max’s Walker Farms black and white wedding has now added another piece to that history.
Another favorite moment of ours from Kate and Max’s wedding day was during the reception. We’ve never seen a set of little kids dance like their nieces, nephews, and cousins did! They knew how to bust a move and they hammed it up for the camera. These two knew how to throw a party, and it was a blast to be a part of it! Thanks for choosing us Kate and Max, and congratulations again!
