Madeline & Kevin
The Utah State Capitol blossoms only last for a maximum of two weeks. It gets so busy at the state capitol because of that. Of course, who wouldn’t want the cherry blossoms in their portraits?! Although we had to dodge around all the crowds and wait patiently sometimes for the perfect moments, Madeline and Kevin made it all worth it! We had originally hoped to take their engagement photos at the Utah State Capitol while the blossoms were blooms, but since they were so late to come out this year we were lucky enough to instead take them during their formal session. Honestly, we think that worked out even better!
From the moment of Madeline and Kevin’s first look to the end of the evening at the foot of the capitol building, everything was completely perfect. Madeline’s simple, but elegant dress and Kevin’s grey suit and dusty blue tie were the best color choices to complement the Utah State Capitol blossoms. Whether the cherry blossoms, or the white “poofy” blossoms, their choices tied in wonderfully.
It was so fun to spend more time with Madeline and Kevin again. We even got to hear their proposal story! After dinner at the same Peruvian restaurant they went to on their first date, Kevin proposed at the Provo City Center Temple (the same temple they will be sealed in) during a snow storm. Our favorite part of the story was that Kevin made an excuse to Madeline that they needed to go out into the freezing cold weather so that they could do some “location scouting” for us for their wedding at the temple!
Madeline and Kevin, we are so excited to spend the day with you, your family and friends in a couple of weeks! It’s going to be such an amazing day!
