The Foundry Utah Wedding Venue | A Look Behind the Scenes

Shout-Out Saturday: Utah Wedding Vendors

The Foundry is one of the newest wedding venues here on the Wasatch Front. It is nestled in South Weber just to the west of Snowbasin Resort. The Foundry features a modern, industrial flair, but there is something even more unique about the venue in that it is co-owned by mother and daughter team Ashlee and Arlene. Ever since we first met Ashlee we could see that she had her heart set on making The Foundry a success and creating incredible experiences for their couples. We’re so excited to feature them today on the blog!

We interviewed Ashlee and asked her a few questions to learn more of what The Foundry is all about!

Tell us a little about the story behind The Foundry

The Foundry came to be because my mom and I (Ashlee & Arlene) truly loved hosting events. I (Ashlee) loved planning my weddings, and loved weddings since I was little. We wanted to create an amazing venue that not only offered an amazing space and amenities, but also amazing service to our couples and guests.

The design of the Foundry is one of the things that makes it stand out. What’s the inspiration behind the design?

The meaning of Foundry is “a factory that casts metals”. We thought that the name The Foundry, fit our space because it is very industrial glam. By pulling together a lot of industrial elements such as our metal railing and trim, open ceilings, cement floors and brick wall, we added some glamorous, yet very different touches to the space. We have six amazing Edison bulb chandeliers in the space that really make people go “wow!” There are also a few personal touches that add texture to the space such as our unique lighting and shiplap on the mezzanine, accent walls in the main reception space and grooms room, and other little industrial glam features throughout that really pull the space together.

What is it that sets the Foundry apart from other venues?

We have an amazing space with a ton of amenities. We have a state of the art sound system, and one of our couples favorites is our “Something Borrowed” room which is filled with a ton of decorations to really decorate an entire wedding or event beautifully.

What is it for couples after they book The Foundry for their venue?

We treat our couples like family, and we treat each wedding we do like it’s our very first wedding. We have open houses just for our booked couples to come and discuss their layout and decide on which decorations they are going to use. Up until our couples get married we make sure they feel confident in their wedding day.

Is there anything you wish couples knew before booking their wedding venue?

Make sure you absolutely love where you are getting married, and know exactly what is in your contract. Also, make sure there are not any surprises before signing on the dotted line.

We couldn’t be more excited to have Ashlee and Arlene with The Foundry in our neck of the woods in Northern Utah! These two and their team are going to do amazing things, and we cannot wait to see where they take The Foundry. Learn more about The Foundry here on their website, Instagram, and Facebook page.
