Family Christmas Session at the 5th Floor | Ogden Photographers

Dallin whispered: “Let’s just put him on the bed, it will look really good!” Gently, Sidney placed her little boy Dawson on the bed so that he wouldn’t wake up. “He’s just jealous,” Sydney said quietly. “He never got a real newborn session, so he’s making up for it now!” Halfway into this family Christmas session at the 5^th floor, little Dawson dozed off.  We promise that it had nothing to do with us being boring! We were doing every single trick in the book to get him to stay awake! Liam even joined in by making noises with his tongue and shaking a rattling toy, but Dawson just suddenly passed out! All of us had to silence our chuckles as we saw him peacefully drift off to sleep.

This was the second time that we’ve done a shoot with Sydney and Jevon. (Click here to see the engagement session we did last year with them.) After looking back, we realized that we had done their pictures last time on Veteran’s Day, and this session was also on Veteran’s Day! It’s very fitting since Jevon is an airman with the Air Force. This time, we were able to include their adorable little son for a family Christmas session at the 5^th floor in Ogden. We couldn’t get enough of this little kid! He didn’t fuss one bit, and then we noticed that his eyes were getting… very… heavy.

Since we were at the 5^th floor in Ogden, we were able to pull a bed over, and voila! We had the perfect spot to take pictures for Dawson while he slept. He got just enough sleep that he woke up at the very end so that we could get one last picture of him being very happy (and well rested!)

Sydney and Jevon, thank you so much for allowing us to take your pictures again this year! We can tell that you adore your little Dawson, and we are so happy that we got to experience his funny personality. We hope that you have a merry Christmas, and enjoy every minute of it as your first one being parents!
