While Dallin stood making monkey noises, a little boy riding in a backpack he was carrying shook a rattle with as much enthusiasm as he could muster. On his face he wore one of the most contagious smiles you have ever seen. He knew he was getting the twins, who were wearing the cutest matching outfits, to look at him.
That was a proud parent moment for us. Sometimes getting the attention of a baby requires extra hands during a family photoshoot, and it was so fun to see him soaking in every moment of being our big helper during these fall family pictures at Snowbasin! It’s moments like those that we are so grateful that we have him and that we get to be his parents. Parenting is a lot of work, but it is such a blessing and fills in gaps that you never even knew you had in your life. That’s why when we heard that Becca and Randy were expecting, we were so excited for them!
Jessie has known Randy since high school and we’ve both gotten to know his wife Becca over the past few years. They are two of the kindest and most gracious people we know. After all, they did let us come and crash at their house in Casper, Wyoming for almost a week last year so that we could photograph the solar eclipse and take their couple’s portraits. On top of that, they are also Utah Jazz fans, which make them completely awesome in our minds!
Everyone has their own struggles to conquer and fight throughout their lives, and for Becca and Randy one of their fights was having children of their own. For six years they spent days, and sometimes weeks, traveling to doctor visits a state away to try to solve their problem. We can’t imagine the heartache that that so many visits and unanswered questions brought into their lives. It’s always some of the most deserving people that have to fight this fight, and it is heartbreaking to watch them go through it. At the end of six years, and countless tests they were able to try IVF and thankfully it worked. When we found out that they were expecting twins, we couldn’t have been happier for them! These two were meant to be parents, and Evan and Roger are so lucky to have them.
Randy and Becca, thank you both so much for your friendship over the years! We had a blast taking fall family pictures at Snowbasin for you guys! We’re excited to follow your journey with Evan and Roger and all of the fun and adventures you guys will have together. Enjoy every minute you have with them, because as the saying goes, time goes by in the blink of an eye!
