Kaitlyn + Alex
The Bountiful Temple is one of our favorite places for temple weddings. It’s up against the mountain, has plenty of flowers in the summer and spring, and also has a beautiful fountain that allows us to flex our creative muscles. Kaitlyn and Alex chose to have a Bountiful Temple and Tunnel Springs wedding formal session to ensure that they had plenty of portraits at the temple and wouldn’t have to spend as much time on their wedding day taking photos of the two of them.
One of our best pieces of advice to couples getting married in the temple is this: choose to do a formal session on a separate day. If you happen to have bad weather on your wedding day, you’re portraits are covered! It will also allow you to spend less time taking couple’s portraits on the wedding day if you choose. This is so nice when it’s hot or cold outside! The other bonus is that it allows you to have photos taken with PERFECT lighting at the temple. This is especially important because most temple weddings happen around noon when the sun is high in the sky and casts unflattering shadows.
Kaitlyn and Alex were also able to combine the temple with a mountain location to take sunset photos at Tunnel Springs in their formal wedding attire. The sky lit up perfectly during sunset and allowed us to photograph one of our favorite things: silhouettes! Kaitlyn and Alex were amazing and trusted all of our crazy ideas! This Bountiful Temple and Tunnel Springs wedding formal session was one we don’t think we’ll ever forget.
Kaitlyn and Alex, you two are so fun! We are so honored that you chose us to be your wedding photographers. There’s no doubt that your ambition and love for life will continue! We hope that after your wedding day, you’ll stay in touch and come to our date nights!
