Emma & Joe
A beach, water, sand… those are three things that aren’t easy to find in Utah, but would be the perfect fit for Emma and Joe. During their Antelope Island Engagement session, a breeze blew through the air catching hold of Emma’s dress as they walked along the rocky shore. When that happened we knew we had found the perfect location! The bouquet in Emma’s hand tied in perfectly and matched the landscape and their outfits.
Truly, the only thing that could have made it better in that moment would have been a sunset… and guess what? That sunset was exactly what happened. As Joe stood holding Emma above the still, motionless water we smiled because we saw something they may not have noticed at the time. The fiery red-orange clouds hovered above them and cast the most amazing reflection into the water. It was such a perfect moment that we were so fortunate to be able to capture!
Emma and Joe have one of the most adorable and unique stories. They met each other while Emma was Joe’s apartment leasing manager. Before the start of summer, he came in to turn in his keys to her. They got talking and before leaving, he invited her to fly out from Utah and visit him in California to go on a sushi date that next weekend! Ever since that first conversation Emma knew that there was something special about Joe, despite him calling her “dude” and her assuming that she was put into the friend-zone after their first date. Throughout their first few months of dating the two of them adventured and explored from Northern to Southern California together, which allowed them to create a strong bond and solid foundation for their relationship.
These two are such a perfect pair. From the moment we met them, we knew they were going to be a blast to work with. Without even knowing, we even found out that Emma grew up as next-door neighbors with Jessie’s aunt and uncle, and is the best of friends with Jessie’s cousins. It’s such a small world and we are so glad that we got to hang out with Emma and Joe during their Antelope Island engagement! Congrats you two!
