“Caution: Cougars Frequent the Area!” The worn yellow sign could not have been any more ironic. We all had a chuckle as we hiked down the steep road to the reservoir. Julia and Garrett were attending Brigham Young University after all, making them “Cougars”.

As we continued down the path, the vista was peeled away from the cover of the tall surrounding trees. A beautiful, glass-like lake came into view.  The sign couldn’t have been any more correct.  This area was perfect for these two “Cougars”.  Just as the smooth water reflected beautiful bursts of colors from the autumn leaves, their love and joy was reflected as plainly as the smiles on their faces.

The view was breathtaking. The golden sun streaming through the colors from the leaves could not have been any more perfect. They looked like splashes of red, yellow, orange, and brown paint on a canvas. The calm, cool, crisp air was so sweet you could almost smell it. It felt like walking into a painting. It was surreal and so peaceful.

Throughout the session, Julia and Garrett were incredibly gracious.  After each new breath-taking scene was shown to them, we were met with hearts full of gratitude for finding this special place for them.  Julia always nailed the instructions to “giggle” whenever we asked her to do so for a picture.  It was so effortless, you could tell that she was happy to be there with the love of her life. You could tell these two have a special and lasting relationship.

Julia and Garrett, thank you for allowing us to do your engagement session!  We know that you have a long road of happiness and joy ahead of you.  Anyone who looks can see this, just as easily as it is to see the colorful trees in autumn. We are excited for you and your journey ahead!
