USU Botanical Garden Engagement Session

There is NOTHING like a good dad joke. You know, the kind that makes everyone in the room laugh or smile because it’s just so ridiculous! The reason why we love them, is because they ALWAYS get a great reaction for photos. Every. Single. Time. When we first spoke with Shelby about her fiancé Josh, she told us that one of the things she loves most about him is his ability to make her laugh with corny dad jokes. You better believe that during their USU Botanical Garden engagement session, Josh pulled out a whole bunch of dad jokes. Even though we only heard a handful of the jokes (“what do you call a deer with one eye?… a one eye deer. What do you call a deer with zero eyes?… no eye deer”) we knew that Josh had a bunch of really good ones that he used during engagements because every time he was close to Shelby, he would whisper something that we couldn’t hear, which then would get Shelby to laugh every single time. 

Our favorite by far was Josh’s Cajun accent that he used when he complimented Shelby. It seriously was reminiscent of Ray from Princess and the Frog, and the reaction from the both of them was photography gold. We ourselves couldn’t keep from laughing because it was so funny! We had to make sure we kept it in as much as we cloud so that we could continue to shoot without shaking from laughing so much. Some say that the more you laugh with each other in a marriage, the more you will love your spouse. If this is true, we can only imagine how much love these two will have in the coming years and how many more incredible dad jokes will come along with that!

Shelby and Josh, thank you so much for the double date during your USU Botanical Garden engagement session. We had so much fun! You are both so adorable and we can’t wait for your big day!
