Ogden Temple Summer Wedding

“Willllliam!!! Willlliam!! Are you awake?!” On any given day, these words were bellowed from Spencer’s at his home to his neighbor and friend, William. Spencer’s father shared a story about how when Spencer was little, he would shout over to William to see if he was awake and if he could play, even if it was late at night. Years later, even after moving to a new city, Spencer still remained friends with William, and made sure that he did something with him at least once a year. Even after he found a new William to be friends with, he still remained loyal to his childhood friend. During this Ogden Temple summer wedding, the loyalty and love were easy to see between Spencer and Torri and their family and friends. 

Torri’s father quoted Dietrich Bonhoeffer, German theologian and WWII prisoner, when he said “It is not your love that sustains the marriage, but from now on, the marriage that sustains your love.” Meaning, that the promises made by Torri and Spencer on their wedding day, if remembered, will increase their love for each other each day. This advice can be adapted and used in each and every marriage. Remember what you’ve promised each other, live up to those promises, and there will always be love.

Throughout the sessions that we’ve had with Torri and Spencer, we have had a chance to see their kindness, as well as their love for each other. We were told by one of their parents that we “perfectly captured” the way that they look at each other when they’re together. The truth is, they look at each other like this naturally, without much coaching from us. The happiness and love they that they share is so easy to see!

Torri and Spencer! We love you two! We wish you the best forever anyone could wish! We know that you both have a great future in store, and have a lot of good to do in this world.
