“Keep it secret… keep it safe!” Six words that mean so much, were said to us as two rings were placed in the palm of our hands. This time, however, these words didn’t have anything to do with a hobbit, wizard, or a dark Lord. Find out why we are quoting Lord of the Rings and see more pictures from Jared and Brittiny’s wedding day in this blog post.
Two strong and caring hands gripped a strand of pearls. Delicately, they wrapped the necklace around the neck of the new bride. These hands were the hands of a father, the father of the bride. After successfully placing this heirloom from the bride’s grandmother, he gave her a gentle kiss on the cheek, and a hug. Pride and love radiated from him and also seemed to fall from the light in the trees surrounding them. We had captured a tender moment, one that we knew meant so much to Brittiny, her father, and would have meant so much to her late grandmother. This Davis County outdoor wedding was filled with these types of memories for both Brittiny and Jared.
“Keep it secret… keep it safe!” Six words that mean so much, were said to us as two rings were placed in the palm of our hands. This time, however, these words didn’t have anything to do with a hobbit, wizard, or a dark Lord. In fact, there was nothing sinister at all about these rings. It was a joke that came from Brittiny’s bridesmaid, Mary, when we took the rings to do some ring shots during the reception at this Davis County outdoor wedding. Luckily, there was a large pond with some beautiful large plants that gave us the perfect backdrop for the rings for our shots. The purple and green hue gave a great pop to the gorgeous rings. It couldn’t have been more perfect.
Brittiny and Jared’s wedding was at Jared’s great grandmother’s land, which she had lived on close to 80 years! There was a lot of history in this place. There was a trout farm on the land at one point, and there still remained a pond with turtles and catfish who greeted us quite a few times. Jared told us how he would come over to this property all the time while growing up. We totally understand why he’d spend so much time there.
We loved this place! Russian Olive trees covered the landscape! This has to be our absolutely favorite tree for pictures. The leaves from these trees have a beautiful white glow to them when they are in the perfect light at the right time of day. We are always on the lookout for a place like this, and we found it in the right place!
The favorite moments of the night had to be during the cake cutting. As you know, one of our very favorite things is when a cake cutting turns into a cake SMASH! First, Jared fed a piece to Brittiny in a very nice, gentle manner. Brittiny did the same, but then did a stealth smash all over the side of Jared’s face! It was absolutely perfect for pictures! It looked like Brittiny had learned a few MMA tricks from Jared over the years and she applied it at this very moment. This may go down in the Jessie and Dallin hall of fame for the best cake smash pictures ever! It will be hard to top it… so all of you out there listening… we hope you accept the challenge and give us a chance to beat these pictures!
Brittiny and Jared, THANK YOU! We had so much fun at your wedding and engagement session, and are so happy that we were your photographers! We wish you the best, and hope to see you many times in the future. Have an amazing honeymoon in Hawaii!
