Daisy + Eddy
“Ready? One! Two! Three! Go!” At that moment, a sky full of paper airplanes flew over our heads. Each one of Daisy and Eddy’s guests, at their request, had made a paper airplane and were having a contest to see which plane flew the furthest. Daisy and Eddy wanted to do this during their wedding reception because when they first met, they were part of a competition to see who could fold the best paper airplane that would go the longest distance. During this competition, Eddy was excited, because he knew of the best way to fold an airplane to make it go far. As he was folding his airplane, he noticed that Daisy was folding her airplane the same way, and it was the perfect icebreaker. So naturally they included this as part of the reception of their Oak Hills Utah destination wedding with Jewish traditions!
When planning a wedding, couples often are not quite sure what to do during their reception. If you are trying to figure out what to do for your wedding reception, hopefully looking at what Daisy and Eddy did for theirs will give you some inspiration! We love it when couples incorporate things like Daisy and Eddy did that mean something to them and their relationship during their reception. It makes it more meaningful and also gives an opportunity to get even better photos! A few things that Daisy and Eddy did during their wedding day included smashing glass as part of Eddy’s Jewish background, the paper airplane toss, a hora chair lift, and a scavenger hunt with a mix of musical chairs.
The scavenger hunt was one of the most creative things we’ve seen at a wedding reception. Each member of Eddy and Daisy’s wedding party sat in a chair, and Eddy and Daisy’s DJ yelled out something that they needed to look for. Ever person participating then had to run and find that item, and then rush back to their seat. Each round, one seat is taken away, just like musical chairs, so the last person to find a chair is out. This continues until there is just one person left, who is the winner! Some of the items for scavenger hunts were related to Daisy and Eddy, so you had to know them to get the item. It was one of the most creative and fun activities we’ve seen at a reception! If you have more questions, then let us know and we can tell you more about some of the fun things Daisy and Eddy did during their Oak Hills Utah destination wedding with Jewish traditions.
Daisy and Eddy! Good luck to both of you! We’re so excited for you two and the life you get to continue together!
