As soon as we walked in the front doors of Talia Event Center, our breath was taken away. The twinkling lights in the ceiling of the entryway, the large solarium, and the balcony hovering above a vintage bar were the kind of details that as a photographer you only dream of shooting at a Utah wedding venue.
As soon as we walked in the front doors, our breath was taken away. The welcome sign, the twinkling lights in the ceiling of the entryway, and the balcony hovering above a vintage bar were the kind of details that as a photographer you only dream of shooting at a venue. Couple that with the large solarium and stained glass, and you’ve got an unbeatable Utah wedding venue! Talia Event Center had just finished throwing their grand opening celebration the weekend prior to our visit and we were so excited to welcome them to the Layton and Clearfield neighborhood! We could tell that Talia Painter and her family who own and run Talia event center truly care about their clients and about their venue. The attention to detail was impressive!
When we stopped by Talia Event Center, we asked Talia herself a few questions about their family’s venue and the weddings and events they hold there.
Similar to many other brides, I had such a fun time planning my wedding. After doing so, the wedding business was always something I was interested in. A couple of years back we were at a reception and my father in law, Kris mentioned something about starting a reception center. My husband Nick and I chimed in saying we would love to, kind of thinking it was a dream that would never happen. For two years it was a thought that kept coming up over and over, and we realized Kris was serious. So we took the opportunity, found a building and went for it. The team at Talia Event Center includes my In-Laws Kris and Nan Painter who are the owners and my husband Nick and I who run it. So we are just a small family run business!
We put so much thought into designing the building around the wants and needs of couples on their wedding day! Our venue has every amenity that you would need, and because our building is so large, we can accommodate both large and intimate parties. Everything is brand new so you get a nice clean slate to work with when designing your wedding.
Aside from being able to work with my husband, being a part of one of the most special days in someone’s life. I love seeing a bride’s dreams come true and hearing that their day was perfect. Seeing the start of a couple’s love and life together gets me every time.
The majority of the work is taken care of for you! You don’t have to rent tables, do setups, clean, etc. We make the day as stress-free as possible, and because we have been around so many weddings we can help with planning, make helpful suggestions, and really guide you if you need it.
We can accommodate three events at a time. The building is 19,000 square feet so we have lots of space for guests! Our largest room can fit 500 guests, and if combined with other rooms, can fit 700+. We regularly have bookings where the party does their ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and reception all in one night.
Choosing to have your wedding at a venue can be an investment, but it is well worth it! I wish brides and grooms knew beforehand the cost of all that is being offered so they knew that their money is being well spent. I also truly want every couple that comes through to look back on their day and think it was perfect. Of course I would love if they booked with us, but if they don’t think our venue has everything they want, I want them to book their dream space instead! Find a venue that keeps you at the forefront of their mind, has great customer service and is friendly to work with!
