We are thrilled about our Carnival Engagement inspiration session being featured on Utah Valley Bride! To read that full feature click here.
Dallin and I had the honor and privilege to work together with some of the best vendors in the state to put together this carnival engagement session for our first styled shoot. We rolled up into the dusty parking lot, which was the perfect spot to park the 1950’s classic car at the Utah State Fair. The sun was blaring down and thanks to Dallin’s hard work the night before creating a DIY giant diffuser, we were able to soften the light from the sun. I’ll have to add some behind the scenes later pictures later on, it’s pretty fantastic!
The 1950’s car was in pristine condition without a single finger print. It was a blast to be able to photograph around that beauty! Once we finished up we took off towards the carnival. With our awesome press passes we were able to get to the front of all the lines and get some amazing pictures that we wouldn’t have been able to get otherwise. We shot at the state fair until dark, and it was worth every minute!
For this carnival engagement shoot, we along with Marcia Hill from Sweet Cravings (THE greatest cake business around!) worked tirelessly for three months planning and coordinating. This is the end result of our collaboration.
The shoot includes a red hot 1957 Buick, a peddler’s cart, the boardwalk, the state fair, AND incredible food and decor. Having this shoot come together was a dream come true.
A real and sincere thank you to all our amazing vendors on this shoot:
